Sunsets on 30A

There isn't really anything about 30A I took for granted. My parent's beach and the sunsets especially.    When Mark came back to get us after Pippa was born, we went down for one last sunset. My sister Cad took some pictures of our family of four. When Dagny cooperated.

Five Little Things...

or six, that made my week.

My mama mug. And all of the coffee that has been brought to me before I get out of bed. Now I get to match Mark's daddy mug that he got when Dagny was born. There was one "pretty" mug here for when I would visit, but Dagny broke it our first week here. She still reminds me every couple of days that "Dagny broke mama's coffee" and is clearly feeling a little guilty about it.

These sunflowers that Mark brought home just because.

This rug. Because Mark's apartment needs a little pink.

These hooks and the copper they hold.

This storage solution.

This clothing rack for finally giving Mark back a little closet space.

A couple of other fun things:

I made these Dutch Baby pancakes this week and they were so yummy!

An Anthro dream come true.

Wishing I was in NYC for this

Life hacks.

All dressed up and singing.

More Pippa Please?

Okay…
We thought we had the calmest, smiliest baby with Dagny. We were right about the smiliest, but Pippa takes the cake with calmness. Instead she's the calmest, sternest baby. She's as beautiful and easy as it seems and she is so serious its intimidating. I feel like she's looking into my soul and knows exactly who I am when she stares at me. We love her and are very thankful for how easy going she is. Here are a hundred more pictures before she goes and grows up on me. I'm already missing those initial newborn days. It is so fun and heart breaking to watch them change each week. But in the last week she's been smiling and showing off her wonderful dimples. She's been more awake and lifting that little head of hers.

One Month of Pippa Darling

One month of a beauty. One month of heavenly bliss. One month of constant newborn sleep.  One month of newborn smell. One month of nursing every two to three hours. One month of quiet and calm. One month of feeling tired, and one month snuggling. One month of sweet newborn cries. One month of treasured moments between sisters. One month of trying to soak up every second. One month that went by too fast.

Life in Toronto

Has been full. Mornings are cozy and lazy. Days don't really seem to start until after Dagny's nap and I'm perfectly okay with that during this initial month with two. Pippa is a dream baby that has slept most of her life thus far. There were moments I found myself being a little concerned with how calm and quiet she was. She is the perfect sidekick to Dagny, who exhausts me, in a good way. Dagny finally has a sense of consistency in her life and is sleeping better than she has in the last year. Our afternoons and evenings have been spent in parks, getting ice cream, or hanging with the Hagglunds. Life is really, really good and we are all so happy to be together. Here is a bunch of pictures over the last couple weeks of life's sweeter moments with Mark. They may be grainy, blurry or dark, but I love them.

Our airplane rides were tight
Mark's especially

When Dagny and Pippa join our bed in the morning it is hard to go back to sleep…for me at least
We started pancake Saturdays off with a bang! Martha Stewart's buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips and bananas.

Mark is on the mends of an ankle sprain and was sweet enough to forgo his box suite to sit with us
The Hagglunds meet Pippa and adopt Dagny.

My mornings wrapped up in a picture.
