5 Little Things

That made my week. Or 6...

Another bouquet of flowers from Mark, just because.

This toy. Because its the cutest there ever was in the simplest of ways.

These lint filled toes.

A new shelf in the bathroom for anything pretty. Currently a "Hayden by hand" piece.

A batch of hooks to hang our SeaBags on and provide a storage hack.

The apple pie I made for Thanksgiving in Canada. But especially how much fun Dagny and I had making it together!

Other fun things:

Who doesn't love before and afters.

The most BEAUTIFUL places.

We made these…The were so yummy and rich and worth it

Because I've got halloween costume fever over here.

Five Little Things...

or six, that made my week.

My mama mug. And all of the coffee that has been brought to me before I get out of bed. Now I get to match Mark's daddy mug that he got when Dagny was born. There was one "pretty" mug here for when I would visit, but Dagny broke it our first week here. She still reminds me every couple of days that "Dagny broke mama's coffee" and is clearly feeling a little guilty about it.

These sunflowers that Mark brought home just because.

This rug. Because Mark's apartment needs a little pink.

These hooks and the copper they hold.

This storage solution.

This clothing rack for finally giving Mark back a little closet space.

A couple of other fun things:

I made these Dutch Baby pancakes this week and they were so yummy!

An Anthro dream come true.

Wishing I was in NYC for this

Life hacks.

All dressed up and singing.

5 little things that made my week...

Okay, maybe 6.

Two hand-me-down knit blankets from Mary Kate. Ones I've coveted during her babies' newborn years.

These cloth diapers turned burp cloths, and the fact that I want every color.

Boxes...because of what it means!

Empty Shelves. Because I'm making progress, slowly.

Zappos. Because when they sent the wrong size shoe, they promptly sent the correct size and said to keep the other pair as well. Dagny fits and has room to grow in both!

The scrunchies and hair dos daycare sends Dagny's home with. Oh and the band aids on Dagny and her baby's foreheads.

A couple of other things:

Because somebody has a 2nd birthday coming up and I can't help but want to plan a sweet celebration for her even in the midst of all the crazy thats about to happen.

While thinking about moving, and failing miserably at packing, to a tiny space with four.

Have you been following Clementine and their tiny house?

We started Ruth this month.

Did you hear about Rosé Gummy bears and the thousands waiting to try them?

5 Little things that made my week...

1. When I bleached all of my linen curtains, my house smelled like heaven for a good two weeks.

2. These cuties on the 4th of July.

3. When a surprise box of Damariscotta showed up on my doorstep from Mark. A few used pieces from the 90's. I'll take them!

4. Dagny's stubbornness during naps and when she finally gave up and fell asleep on the floor.

5. Tip toes and bandaids.

And that little booty!

A few things...

That made my week.

Dagny helping me "cook."

Seaside for my birthday weekend. We ate a lot of spring rolls and smoothies to try and make up for all of the birthday donuts I had.

Dagny getting to have a beach day with the Wilsons gang. She hasn't stopped saying  "yuuuuya" ever since.

The spring rolls I've been making have been so yummy!

Dagny walking around in her make shift bibs.

The exquisite flowers and donuts Mark sent me on my birthday.

Rearranging Dagny's room meant a new spot for this cowhide and I'm in love.

5 Things

Happy things that things that made my week...

1. My mom and dad taking care of my sick child while I worked. My mom driving Dagny all the way back to me while I dealt with a broken car. The two of them both ended up getting sick from Dagny. They're the best.

2. This bench! For Christmas, my mom let each of us pick out a bench and fabric, kilim, or hide to have it reupholstered in. Most of the benches were from our childhood. The one I chose, besides being the fattest and having the greatest round legs, was from the year I was born, and it lived in the Grey Havens Inn living room for as long as I can remember. I chose Kilim and won the prize. It was really amazing, we had to rank our top three in order to make it fair, but of all five of us, not one of us picked the same stool!

3. This little Easter basket for Dagny! Isn't it darling??

4. The meals I'm making! I decided to try Blue Apron when one of my friends sent me a free trial. It has been really fun and VERY convenient.  I don't think I'll do it forever, but I'm enjoying a box of fresh groceries being delivered to my house and easy recipes already being decided for me. It's fun because they are meals that I wouldn't ever cook for myself. I tend to keep things simple and yummy in the kitchen, but I think this is helping me branch out a bit. And eat more meat! Which I hardly cook when Mark is away.

5. Lastly, music. Dagny's last baby teeth have popped through! We spent a lot of time lounging in my bed with a stomach bug and teeth. Little Einsteins and its hints of beautiful music made my week.

Not many...

There aren't very many things that have made my week this week. It was the second week of Mark being gone and just as sad as the first. I've been working a lot, getting used to making dinner for Dagny and myself again, and doing Dagny by myself again. I feel like I was spoiled for two months with the greatest husband and daddy of all time. My house is messy and cluttered, my pantry and fridge are uninspiring and my sheets are overdue for a cleaning. I'll get back into the swing of things eventually. Until then...Not pictured is netflix, but it sure is helping with the adjustment and my procrastination.

This colander I snagged at the Eberhart's Annual Golden Elephant Party. I came home to it hanging on a nail on my windowsill that Mark had perfectly placed. I use it every day for washing dagny's "asberries" and "booberries."

I CHOPPED my hair off. Clearly I was having an emotional breakdown and nobody cared to stop me from making such a terrible decision. Just kidding. I don't mind it. Its so clean and healthy feeling. My military bun was really doing a number on my ends. The lady just went a little crazy and cut about three inches more than I wanted.

This isn't from this week, but Dagny continues to be my saving grace. I love her so much and don't know what I'd do without her.

A 6:30 am trip to the grocery store in our jammies and jackets because we ran out of milk.

Dagny wanting to put on a robe in the morning like I do. She cried "brrrrrrr, coooold" until i found this one. I should probably find a cute robe for her.

The hand-me down jammies Dagny is finally fitting into.

The two of us will be okay. She has just now stopped saying daddy when I get her out of bed in the morning and we go into my room. The first week she was constantly looking for him. It was heart breaking. But every time my phone goes off she still yells "Daaaddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" like it is the end of the world.

5 Things

That made my week:

These dolls that Clementine made for Dagny. Dagny is in love with them and gives them lots of hugs and kisses while saying "awwwwwee." How awesome is Clem though?

Sprouts. Because every turkey sandwich is better with them.

Frozen blueberries and how easy and messy they are as Dag's new snack.

This rabbit ears hat I got Dagny and the costume I am trying to make around it for halloween. It was something I wanted so badly last Christmas, but didn't buy. When it sold out EVERYWHERE, I never regretted a non-purchase more in my life. Well, it showed up recently and I just about died. Then I bought it one second later.

This bar of soap. It smells like heaven and roses and now my bathroom and myself do too.
