Easter was grand. The entire weekend consisted of rain, celebrating Clementine, J and their little baby, yummy food, spending time with family, and more rain. Easter morning consisted of beautiful music, creamed eggs, biscuits, and coffee. Church at the little seaside Chapel, chasing Dagny up and down the isle and in and out of the rain. An easter egg hunt, salads, mimosas and a gazillion crepes. There was something about the day that was absolutely perfect in every way. It was the first time in a while that we were all together again minus Mark:( But we wanted to take advantage and get a family picture on the beach. We did our best with a post and self-timer. When we were getting ready to head back to the house, the sun came out of nowhere for the first time in days. It turned into the most glorious evening on the beach. My heart was so full watching Dagny run around, twirl in circles, and love on everyone. Usually these are the moments I miss Mark most. But there was no sadness for him in my heart like there always is a little of. It was Easter after all. All I felt was joy and peace and the Holy Spirit. Here is a little glimpse of heaven.

Baby Bloom.....
Number 2!
I guess it's about time to make this announcement! We're having another baby! Woohoo!
We couldn't be more excited and ready for this sweet little babe to join our family of three. See you in August little baby bloom, we're already half way there!
\
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

5 Things
Happy things that things that made my week...
1. My mom and dad taking care of my sick child while I worked. My mom driving Dagny all the way back to me while I dealt with a broken car. The two of them both ended up getting sick from Dagny. They're the best.

2. This bench! For Christmas, my mom let each of us pick out a bench and fabric, kilim, or hide to have it reupholstered in. Most of the benches were from our childhood. The one I chose, besides being the fattest and having the greatest round legs, was from the year I was born, and it lived in the Grey Havens Inn living room for as long as I can remember. I chose Kilim and won the prize. It was really amazing, we had to rank our top three in order to make it fair, but of all five of us, not one of us picked the same stool!
3. This little Easter basket for Dagny! Isn't it darling??
4. The meals I'm making! I decided to try Blue Apron when one of my friends sent me a free trial. It has been really fun and VERY convenient. I don't think I'll do it forever, but I'm enjoying a box of fresh groceries being delivered to my house and easy recipes already being decided for me. It's fun because they are meals that I wouldn't ever cook for myself. I tend to keep things simple and yummy in the kitchen, but I think this is helping me branch out a bit. And eat more meat! Which I hardly cook when Mark is away.
5. Lastly, music. Dagny's last baby teeth have popped through! We spent a lot of time lounging in my bed with a stomach bug and teeth. Little Einsteins and its hints of beautiful music made my week.

A trip to see Mark
A couple weeks ago we drove to Orlando to see Mark. It was the best mini vacation. My mom and Rocco rode the way down with Dagny and me. Pa was in his car, and the rest of the Perkins in another car. We were quite the caravan. Dagny hasn't driven in a car ride longer than two hours since she was a baby so I was a little bit nervous, but Rocco and my mom were a saving grace. We made it just in time for Mark's game. Mark ran over to the stands and Dagny reached out her arms yelling "Daddy! Daddy!" She hugged him as if he had never left. It was awesome to watch him play again and he had a great game.
Staying as a family in one hotel room is a little adventure. Dagny spent a lot of time in bed with us.
We spent our days at the pool with these cool kids while Mark trained.
When we were really lucky we got a visit from some of the players. Nick Hagglund, still being Rocco's and Hank's favorite player, made their year.
The trip came to an end. The only highlight of the trip back was a stop at Trader Joe's since we aren't the lucky ones to have one near us. We bought out the store. Another highlight was that Dagny slept 90% of the way home. She was exhausted from her week of cleat chasing.
