hab its

Not necessarily "need its"

On the hunt for a big 100% cotton white sweater.

How pretty is this wall paper for a tiny space.

Just because our book of fairy tales was a big blue one like this. My dad would read stories from "the big blue book" about princesses to all of us girls before bed.

These look beautiful.

In the spirit of halloween, how cute are these costumes! Dagny is going to be a rabbit.

For me and for Dagny this fall...

Are you kidding me hat and pom pom?

As the weather averaged in the 60s to 70s all weekend, naturally I started day dreaming about fall. Florida, as miserable as it is all summer, is really great in the coming months. You don't get to fully commit to a fall and winter wardrobe, but a good sweater is truly your go to. Some days it may be with shorts and sneakers and other days it could be cold enough to go under a coat. Mornings and evenings are cool. But days are warm enough to go to the beach or sit in the sun. New England still trumps all when it comes to fall. But once a month of snow comes and goes and the temperature is consistently under 10 degrees, I'm ready for the beach again.

Anyway, I go to Toronto next week and am praying for cool crisp weather. When Mark was here recently, I packed a suitcase of my favorite sweaters, coats and boots so that I could travel with one less bag when I go. In Toronto I have to pick up all of the luggage and carry it through customs before I meet Mark. With a baby, carry on, stroller, two suitcases and a car seat I miserably failed during my last visit. Well a week after Mark flew back, we were face timing and talking about Dagny walking around in the city. He pictured her in her new pink coat we bought her and how cute she'd be. At the same time his face went blank, pale, and lifeless. His eyes got really big as he realized that coat was in the bag he left the airport without. And he said "the bag..." After 24 hours of thinking the bag was long gone and some stranger was happy to have all of my most treasured "investments," the airport found it and delivered it safely. While this was going on Mark had the nerve to say that maybe it could be a good lesson for me. I'm still not quite sure what that lesson is, but I do know that he dodge a very big lesson that he would of learned when I went shopping in Toronto to replace the lost treasures.

A Wish List

Our beautiful invitation done by Clementine, coming to you soon.

Dagny and Remington are turning one! Where the Hank has the time gone? It's time to plan this big celebration! By celebration I really mean a small wine, dine and cocktail party mostly for adults, that has cake and balloons for our babies. While planning the party, I've come up with a wish list. I feel like we've gotten away with minimal toys thus far. Our house is small, and big and or obnoxious noisy toys tend to irritate me. Dagny does well to entertain herself with what she has. When we go somewhere new, she is easily excited and delighted in everything around her. With that said, I think a year is a good time to upgrade the toy collection.

The uncle goose classic block set with pull wagon. Colorful bell shaker stick. Car keys. All found on amazon.

This Mozart music cube. Amazon.

The day the crayons quit book.

Polka dot Bloomers. Billie Blooms.

New knotted headbands for fall! Candy Kirby.

Soccer ball rattle. Land of Nod. Dags throws on command so this or other cute balls would be good.

More cute and colorful blocks. Land of Nod

A doll bed or crib because of the cutest story from daycare. At Dag's daycare they have a play crib that they keep all of the stuffed animals in. For a couple of days straight, Dags would go to the crib, pull out every animal, climb in and take the same doll into the crib with her. Land of Nod

Candy Kirby

I'm sure I'll think of more or different things. This already seems like a lot.

City living envy

If I lived in Toronto, I dream our apartment or loft would look something like...

The pink squished between brick. Neighbors through flower boxes and balcony gardens.

Mark lives next to an old toy factory turned loft apartments. How fun would that be? I picture everything open with lots of light.

This kitchen is probably bigger than anything realistic in our city apartment. Its also white and Mark insists on Navy.

Its fun to dream.
